"The Three Musketeers" by the highly acclaimed director, Paul W.S. Anderson ("Resident Evil" and "Mortal Kombat"), has been selected as one of the two official opening films for the 24th TIFF.

Based on the classic novel by Alexandre Dumas, the film is a powerful action adventure update in 3-D starring Logan Lerman, Milla Jovovich, Orland Bloom and Christoph Waltz.

The story : The hot-headed young D'Artagnan(Logan Lerman) joins forces with three rogue Musketeers (Matthew MacFadyen, Luke
Evans and Ray Stevenson) in this reboot of Alexandre Dumas' story. They must stop the evil Richelieu (Christoph Waltz)
and face off with Buckingham (Orland Bloom) and the treacherous Milady (Milla Jovovich). The action adventure is given
a state of the art update in 3-D.

 The 24th TIFF will be held from October 22 to 30, 2011 at Roppongi Hills and other venues in Tokyo.
